Used for conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, keratoconjunctivitis, meibomitis (hordeolum), and trachoma.
Each 5 grams of 1% tetracycline eye ointment contains:
Active ingredient: Tetracycline (as tetracycline hydrochloride) – 50 mg
Excipients: Vaseline, hard paraffin, lanolin
Chlamydia-induced eye infections, including trachoma.
This medication is also used to treat other eye infections caused by tetracycline-sensitive bacteria (including chlamydia), such as:
Conjunctivitis
Keratitis
Blepharitis
Blepharoconjunctivitis
Keratoconjunctivitis
Meibomitis (hordeolum)
Trachoma
Topical use.Apply a 0.5 to 1 cm strip of ointment behind the lower eyelid:
For blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis: 3–4 times daily for 5–7 days
For keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis: 2–3 times daily for 5–7 days. If no improvement is observed within 3–5 days, consult a physician
For meibomitis (hordeolum): Apply at night until inflammation subsides
For trachoma: Apply every 2–4 hours or more frequently for 1–2 weeks. Once inflammation subsides, apply 2–3 times daily. The course of treatment for trachoma may last 1–2 months

Use of this product during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated.
Patients who experience temporary blurred vision after application should avoid driving or operating machinery or any complex equipment that requires clear vision until visual clarity returns.
Store in original packaging, in a dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
Keep out of reach of children.
