Azibiot is intended for the treatment of respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and sexually transmitted diseases.
The active substance is azithromycin.
Each film-coated tablet contains 500 mg of azithromycin, equivalent to 524 mg of azithromycin dihydrate.

Coating: hypromellose (E464), titanium dioxide (E171), lactose monohydrate, triacetin (E1518)
Azibiot is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat infections caused by bacteria. It is indicated for the treatment of:
Respiratory tract infections (e.g. otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis)
Skin and soft tissue infections (e.g. erythema migrans — early stage of Lyme disease, erysipelas, impetigo, secondary purulent skin infections)
Sexually transmitted diseases (e.g. urethritis and cervicitis caused byChlamydia trachomatisorNeisseria gonorrhoeae, and chancroid caused byHaemophilus ducreyi)
Take Azibiot exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the type and site of infection, the patient’s age, and response to therapy.
Usual dose for adults and children over 45 kg:
500 mg once daily for 3 days
Alternatively, 500 mg on day 1, followed by 250 mg once daily for the next 4 days
For Lyme disease:
1 g on day 1, followed by 250 mg once daily for the next 4 days
For sexually transmitted diseases:
A single 1 g dose is sufficient
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The safety of Azibiot during pregnancy has not been fully established, so it should be used only when clearly necessary.
Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment with Azibiot.
Azibiot does not impair the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Azibiot film-coated tablets contain lactose.
If you have known intolerance to certain sugars, consult your doctor before use.
Keep out of reach of children.
