Taking Zincit 10 Effervescent Tablet with Other Medications:
Inform your doctor if you have taken or are taking any other medications, including over-the-counter products.
Chelating agents such as D-penicillamine, dimercaptopropanesulfonic acid (DMPS), ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), and meso-2,3-dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) reduce zinc absorption or increase its excretion. Concurrent intake of zinc with phosphate, zinc, copper, or calcium salts interferes with zinc absorption. Zinc interferes with copper absorption. Large doses of zinc reduce iron absorption and retention. Zinc reduces the absorption of tetracycline, ofloxacin, and other quinolones (e.g., norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin). Therefore, a minimum interval of 3 hours should be maintained between zinc and these medications.
Which Other Medications Does Zincit 10 Interact With?
Zinc reduces copper absorption.
Taking Zincit 10 Effervescent Tablet with Drinks and Food:
Foods high in phytates (cereals, legumes, nuts) inhibit zinc absorption. Coffee may also reduce zinc absorption.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Consult a doctor or pharmacist during pregnancy, lactation, or if you plan to become pregnant.
Zincit is allowed during pregnancy only in case of confirmed zinc deficiency.
Concentration and Driving:
No information is available regarding the effect of this preparation on concentration or driving machinery.
