Xylodex is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa in acute respiratory illnesses with rhinitis symptoms and as supportive treatment in cases of nasal mucosal damage.
1.0 mg/50 mg/ml nasal spray contains:
Active substances:
Xylometazoline hydrochloride – 1.0 mg/ml
Dexpanthenol – 50 mg/ml
Excipients:
Potassium dihydrogen phosphate
Benzalkonium chloride
Disodium phosphate dodecahydrate
Purified water
One spray (single actuation) delivers 0.1 ml of solution containing 0.1 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 5.0 mg dexpanthenol.

As supportive therapy for nasal mucosal injury
To alleviate symptoms of vasomotor rhinitis
To restore nasal breathing following surgical procedures in the nasal cavity
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the preparation
Dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis sicca)
Transsphenoidal hypophysectomy or other surgical procedures involving the meninges (in patient history)
Xylodex 1.0 mg/50 mg/ml nasal spray is contraindicated in children under 6 years of age
Children aged 2–6 years: Xylodex 0.5 mg/50 mg/ml – one spray per nostril, up to 3 times daily
Adults and children over 6 years: Xylodex 1.0 mg/50 mg/ml – one spray per nostril, up to 3 times daily
Dosage depends on individual sensitivity and clinical response.
Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days. Re-treatment may be considered after a few days’ break.
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C
