Adepi is used to treat depressive disorders.
Each tablet contains:
Active substance: Mirtazapine 30 mg
Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, wheat starch, hydroxypropyl cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.
Adepi belongs to a class of medicines known as antidepressants. Typically, the effect becomes noticeable after 2 to 4 weeks.
Adepi is used for the treatment of depressive disorders.
If your doctor has prescribed this medication for other purposes, follow their specific instructions.
Tell your doctor before taking this medicine if you:
Have epilepsy (seizures) or any other brain disorder.
Have liver disease (e.g. jaundice).
Have kidney disease.
Have heart disease.
Have high or low blood pressure.
Have psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder (periods of euphoria/excessive energy and low mood).
Have insulin-dependent diabetes, including late-onset diabetes.
Have glaucoma.
Have urination problems (e.g. due to enlarged prostate).
Have a weakened immune system. If leukopenia (low white blood cell count) occurs during treatment with mirtazapine, consult your doctor immediately.
Always inform your doctor if you have any of the above conditions.
Your doctor will instruct you on the correct dosage.
Adults:
The initial daily dose is 15–30 mg. The doctor may increase the dose to reach the most effective daily dosage. For optimal treatment, it is important to take Adepi daily.
Elderly patients:
The dose is the same as for adults.
Children and adolescents under 18 years of age:
Mirtazapine is not used for treating children and adolescents under 18 years old.
Take the tablet at the same time each day, preferably once daily at bedtime.
If recommended by your doctor, the daily dose may be split into two: one dose in the morning and one in the evening. The higher dose should be taken in the evening.
Tablets should be swallowed whole with water or another liquid, without chewing, as the tablets are bitter. They may be divided in half if needed.
Do not change or stop your treatment without consulting your doctor.
