Jetex Cream is a topical local anesthetic designed for external use on the skin. It causes temporary numbness in the area of application; however, light touch sensation may remain.
Jetex Cream can be applied to intact skin, genital areas, mucous membranes, and leg ulcers.
Jetex Cream is available in tubes of 5 g or 15 g.
Jetex Cream is used to reduce pain on the skin's surface before procedures such as:
Injections
Minor surgical interventions on the skin
Surgical interventions or injections on genital mucous membranes
Cleaning and treatment of leg ulcers
Below are general guidelines for use. The doctor will determine the appropriate dose. For full effectiveness, read and follow this section carefully.
To open the tube, use the pointed end of the cap to pierce the protective membrane.
Apply a thin layer of the cream using a small wooden spatula and cover with an occlusive (air-tight) dressing.
For minor procedures (e.g., needle insertion or minor skin surgeries):
Apply approximately 2 g of cream per 10 cm² of skin for at least 1 hour, up to a maximum of 5 hours, under an occlusive dressing.
For more extensive procedures (e.g., skin grafting, biopsies):
Apply approximately 1.5–2 g of cream per 10 cm² for at least 2 hours, up to 5 hours, under an occlusive dressing.
For large surface areas, such as recently shaved skin:
Recommended max area: 600 cm² (roughly the size of A4 paper – 30x20 cm).
Apply up to 60 g of cream for 1–5 hours.
If the patient has atopic dermatitis or molluscum contagiosum, application should be limited to 15–30 minutes or shorter, as advised by a doctor.
On genital mucous membranes (e.g., before removal of genital warts):
Apply 5–10 g of cream 5–10 minutes before the procedure.
No occlusive dressing is required.
The procedure should start immediately after cream removal.
Anyone applying or removing the cream should avoid direct contact to prevent numbness in their own skin.
On male genital skin:
Apply 1 g per 10 cm² for 15 minutes prior to procedure.
On female genital skin:
Apply 1–2 g per 10 cm² for 60 minutes prior to procedure.
Apply Jetex Cream in a thick layer to the ulcer, then cover with an occlusive dressing.
Leave for at least 30 minutes (up to 60 minutes for stronger effect).
Remove cream using gauze before proceeding with ulcer cleaning.
Dose: 1–2 g per 10 cm² (maximum 10 g).
May be used up to 15 times or more over 1–2 months as needed.
