Azara-NS is used for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults, adolescents, and children over 6 years of age.
1 mL of the preparation contains:
Active ingredient: Azelastine hydrochloride – 1 mg
Excipients: Hypromellose, disodium edetate, anhydrous citric acid, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium chloride, purified water
Azara-NS nasal spray is an antiallergic/antihistamine agent.
It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of:
Seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
Perennial allergic rhinitis
in adults, adolescents, and children over 6 years of age
For intranasal use only
Before the first use, a few sprays should be performed to ensure a uniform mist
Each spray delivers 0.14 mL of solution, which contains 140 mcg of azelastine hydrochloride
The usual dose is one spray in each nostril twice daily (morning and evening), equivalent to 560 mcg/day of azelastine hydrochloride
Keep head upright while spraying
Duration of use depends on the type, severity, and nature of symptoms
Azara-NS is suitable for long-term use, with no specific duration limits
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients
Children under 6 years of age
Pregnancy:Although animal studies have not shown teratogenic effects even at doses many times higher than the therapeutic range, use during the first trimester is not recommended, in accordance with current medical guidelines.
Lactation:
Due to lack of sufficient experience, use during breastfeeding is not recommended
Fertility:
Animal studies have shown effects on fertility following oral administration of the drug
Store at 8°C to 25°C
Keep out of reach of children
After opening the bottle, the spray remains usable for 6 months
