It is used for constipation of various origins and poisoning.
Active ingredient: Castor Oil (Ricini Oleum).
Castor oil is prescribed for various types of constipation and in cases of poisoning (except for intoxications caused by fat-soluble substances).
The product is contraindicated in cases of poisoning by fat-soluble chemical compounds (such as phosphorus, benzene, phenol, etc.), as well as fat-soluble anthelmintic drugs; during acute inflammatory processes in the abdominal cavity (e.g., appendicitis, peritonitis); in patients with gastric or duodenal ulcers, ulcerative colitis, during pregnancy, in elderly patients, during uterine bleeding, and in cases of cachexia.
It is not recommended for children under 1 year of age.
Special precautions: Consult your doctor before starting treatment with castor oil.
As a laxative, castor oil is taken before bedtime.
Adults: 15–30 g
Children 1–5 years: 5 g (1 teaspoon)
Children 5–10 years: 10 g (1 dessert spoon)
Children over 10 years: 15 g
Overdose may cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In such cases, seek medical attention immediately.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Prolonged use may cause intestinal atony.
Shelf life: 5 years.
Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
