Althes syrup is used as an adjuvant in complex therapy for acute and chronic respiratory tract diseases.
Active ingredient: Dry extract of marshmallow root – 2.0 g
Excipients: Raspberry flavor, strawberry flavor, sorbic acid or methylparaben, ethyl alcohol, sugar syrup – up to 125 g.
The medicinal plants in the preparation contain a complex of biologically active substances: mucilage (pentosans and hexosans), essential oils, flavonoids, anthocyanins, organic acids (citric, malic, salicylic), pectins, vitamins (C, B group), carotene, and starch.
Used as an adjuvant in complex therapy of acute and chronic respiratory diseases, including:
Bronchitis
Pneumonia
Bronchiectasis
Tracheitis
Laryngitis
Tonsillitis
Possible allergic reactions.
In the event of side effects, the patient should discontinue use and consult a doctor.
If side effects not mentioned in the leaflet occur, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
For oral use, before meals.
Adults: 15 ml of syrup 3–4 times a day
Children aged 2–3 years: 2.5 ml syrup 2–3 times a day
Children aged 3–6 years: 5 ml syrup 2–3 times a day
Children aged 6–12 years: 10 ml syrup 2–3 times a day
(Doses may be diluted with water before administration.)
Duration of treatment: Determined individually by the physician.
If a dose is missed, do not take a double dose. Take the next dose as soon as possible or follow the original dosing schedule.
Not recommended for children under 1 year of age.
Diabetes mellitus
Due to the presence of strawberry flavoring, allergic skin reactions with intense itching may occur in some individuals
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible upon a doctor's recommendation.
The preparation does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Use of the syrup is not recommended in combination with cough suppressants or medications containing codeine.
Store at 15–25°C in a place protected from light.
