Easycol Baby+ is an enzymatic supplement containing lactase, designed to act specifically on milk. It can be used with both breast milk and infant formula to aid lactose digestion and compensate for the temporary lactase deficiency commonly seen in the first months of life. Easycol Baby+ is a natural and safe drop formulation that helps reduce digestive discomfort and, consequently, episodes of inconsolable crying.
Easycol Baby+ targets only the lactose present in breast milk or formula, which may not be well absorbed by the baby’s digestive system. The lactase enzyme in Easycol Baby+ breaks down lactose into two simple sugars — glucose and galactose — promoting easier digestion.
Scientific studies have shown that infants fed with lactase-treated milk tend to cry significantly less, which is attributed to improved digestion.
Easycol Baby+ is safe to use from the first day of life. Discomfort due to lactose maldigestion typically disappears around 4 months of age, as the baby’s body begins to produce more endogenous lactase. This period often coincides with the gradual introduction of semi-solid foods.
At this stage, Easycol Baby+ can be gradually reduced. If discomfort reappears after reducing the dose, it’s advisable to return to the previous dosage.
Easycol Baby+ can be used with breast milk or formula.
For breastfed babies:
With expressed milk: Add the recommended number of drops directly into the milk, mix well, and feed the baby.
During breastfeeding: Place the drops (as per the dosage chart) on a teaspoon and administer directly to the baby before breastfeeding.
For formula-fed babies:
Add the drops directly into the bottle before feeding and mix well.
Easycol Baby+ does not alter the taste of milk and can be used with either warm or cold milk.
If preparing a bottle in advance:
Add 4 drops of Easycol Baby+ to the milk and store in the fridge for up to 4 hours.
