It is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa in acute respiratory illnesses with symptoms of rhinitis, and as supportive therapy in cases of nasal mucosal damage.
Each 0.5mg/50mg/ml nasal spray contains:
Active ingredients: Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg/ml, Dexpanthenol 50 mg/ml
Excipients: Potassium dihydrogen phosphate, Benzalkonium chloride, Disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, Purified water.
One spray delivers a single dose of 0.1 ml, which contains 0.05 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride and 5.0 mg of dexpanthenol.
To reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa in acute respiratory diseases with symptoms of rhinitis and as supportive therapy in cases of nasal mucosal damage.
To relieve symptoms of vasomotor rhinitis.
To restore nasal breathing after nasal surgery.
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the preparation
Dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis sicca)
Transsphenoidal hypophysectomy or other surgical procedures involving the meninges (in medical history)
Xylodex nasal spray at a dose of 0.5mg/50mg/ml is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.
Children aged 2 to 6 years – One spray of Xylodex 0.5mg/50mg/ml in each nostril, up to 3 times per day.
Adults and children over 6 years – It is recommended to use Xylodex nasal spray with a higher dose of the active substance: one spray of Xylodex 1.0mg/50mg/ml in each nostril, up to 3 times per day.
Dosage depends on individual sensitivity and clinical effectiveness.
Do not use the product for more than 7 consecutive days. A repeated course is possible after a few days’ break.
Store at temperatures not exceeding 25ºC.
Keep out of reach of children.
