1 ml of syrup contains:Active Components:6 mg of Iceland Moss thick extract (Cetraria islandica (L.) Acharius s.l., thallus), which is equivalent to 96-108 mg of Iceland Moss. Extraction solvent: Purified water.Excipients:1 ml of syrup contains: 760 mg Sorbitol (E420) and 0.6 mg Ethanol (non-crystallizing), liquid Sorbitol (E420), Xanthan gum (E415), Sodium benzoate (E211), Citric acid monohydrate (E330), and Lemon flavor (ethanol).
A yellowish-brown or brown liquid with a characteristic odor and taste. Opalescence may be present. A slight sediment characteristic of natural substances may be observed.
Antitussive agent, excluding combinations with expectorants.
Herbion® Iceland Moss Syrup is a herbal preparation recommended for the following conditions:
Dry, irritating cough;
Mild inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and irritation of the oral and pharyngeal mucosa, including sore throat and hoarseness.
Iceland Moss extract contains a large amount of water-soluble mucilage that coats, protects, and softens the oral and pharyngeal mucous membranes, reducing irritation and dry cough.
Hypersensitivity to the active or excipient substances of the preparation.
Adults and adolescents over 16 years: 15 ml of syrup 4 times a day (equivalent to 360 mg of Iceland Moss extract per day);
Children from 10 to 16 years: 10 ml of syrup 4 times a day;
Children from 4 to 10 years: 5 ml of syrup 4 times a day (equivalent to 120 mg of Iceland Moss extract per day);
Children from 1 to 4 years: 2.5 ml of syrup 4 times a day (equivalent to 60 mg of Iceland Moss dry extract per day).
It is not recommended to consume food or drinks immediately after taking Herbion® Iceland Moss Syrup, as this may lead to the rapid removal of the syrup from the oral or pharyngeal mucosa.
When treating with Herbion® Iceland Moss Syrup, it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids in the form of tea or other warm beverages; however, they should not be taken immediately after the medication.
The course of treatment depends on the nature and severity of the disease and can continue for a long, uninterrupted period. After symptoms disappear, it is recommended to continue taking the preparation for several more days. Shake the bottle before use!
In case of shortness of breath, chronic cough, hoarseness, bloody sputum, or fever, it is necessary to contact a doctor or pharmacist immediately. If there is no improvement after 7-14 days of treatment, a doctor must be consulted.
Herbion® Iceland Moss Syrup contains sorbitol. This preparation is not recommended for patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance. This medicinal product contains a small amount of ethanol, <100 mg per dose.
Due to the lack of sufficient clinical data regarding the use of Iceland Moss extract during pregnancy and lactation, the use of the syrup is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
