Etoricoxib
1 tablet contains:
Active ingredient: Etoricoxib – 90 mg or 120 mg
Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, Corn starch, Povidone K-30, Sodium croscarmellose, Sodium lauryl sulfate, Purified talc, Colloidal silicon dioxide anhydrous, Magnesium stearate
Anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic agents, Coxibs
Relief of symptoms of osteoarthritis
Alleviation of symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis
Reduction of symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis
Relief of pain and symptoms in acute gouty arthritis
Short-term management of post-dental surgery pain
Etoricoxib is administered orally, with or without food. Faster effect if taken before meals.
Osteoarthritis: Maximum recommended dose – 60 mg once daily
Rheumatoid arthritis: Recommended dose – 90 mg once daily
Acute gouty arthritis: Recommended dose – 120 mg once daily
Ankylosing spondylitis: Recommended dose – 90 mg once daily
Post-dental surgery pain: Recommended dose – 90 mg once daily, maximum for 3 days
Notes:
Dose adjustment is not required for elderly patients, but caution is advised
Use with caution in patients with liver dysfunction
Contraindicated in children and adolescents under 16 years of age
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug
Active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
