for the local treatment of symptoms of temporary or occasional constipation in children aged 2–12 years.
What is Kanova Children and its use:
Active substance:glycerin, a laxative administered rectally. The laxative effect is achieved through glycerin’s ability to soften stool and, by its mild local irritant action, stimulate defecation.

Recommended doses:
Children aged 2–12 years: 1 container once daily, if necessary or as prescribed by a doctor.
The medicine is intended for rectal use and not for oral administration.
Instructions for use:
At the time of use, once the cap of the cannula-shaped container is removed, hold the container vertically with the tip upward and apply gentle pressure so that a few drops moisten the tip of the cannula to facilitate insertion into the rectum. After inserting the cannula tip into the rectum, squeeze the container to empty its entire contents, then remove it slowly without releasing pressure on the container walls.
To delay evacuation, tighten the gluteal muscles for as long as possible to allow the medicine to act fully.
After administration, despite the presence of residual medicine in the container, delivery of the indicated dose is guaranteed. Each single-dose container should be used only once and discarded after use.
If resistance is felt during administration, discontinue use, as it may be harmful, and consult a doctor.
If symptoms do not improve within 7 days, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
If you use more Kanova Children than you should:
Intoxication is not expected in case of overdose.
Prolonged use of large quantities of the medicine may lead to irritable bowel syndrome (symptoms or discomfort such as alternating constipation and diarrhea, intestinal spasms, abdominal bloating, nausea, and flatulence).
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Possible side effects:
During the use of glycerin rectal solution as a laxative, side effects have been reported with unknown frequency: anal itching, pain, and irritation.
Very rare side effects:
Allergic reaction to chamomile (e.g., contact dermatitis). Cross-reactions may occur in patients allergic to plants of the same family. When taken orally, severe allergic reactions may occur, including swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat, which may cause difficulty swallowing or breathing.
