Antispasmin 40 mg Tablets

Composition:

The active ingredient is drotaverine hydrochloride.
Each tablet contains 40 mg of drotaverine hydrochloride.

Other ingredients:
Lactose monohydrate, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate (type A), povidone K25, talc, magnesium stearate.

Indications:

Antispasmin is used to relieve various types of spasm-related pain, including:

• Biliary, renal, bladder, and uterine spasms

• Menstrual cramps

• As an antispasmodic in various gastrointestinal disorders such as:

• Peptic ulcer

• Gastritis

• Enteritis

• Spasms of the cardia and pylorus

• Irritable bowel syndrome

• Spastic colitis accompanied by constipation and bloating

• Headache accompanied by a sensation of intracranial tension

Dosage:

• Adults and adolescents:The recommended dose is 120–240 mg of drotaverine hydrochloride per day (3–6 tablets), divided into 2–3 doses.
  

• Children over 6 years of age:
  The recommended dose is 80–200 mg per day (2–5 tablets), divided into 2–5 doses.

If symptoms do not improve within 3 days of starting treatment, consult a physician.

• Children under 6 years of age:
  Due to lack of safety and efficacy data, Antispasmin is not recommended in this age group.

Store below 25°C in the original packaging.
