Antispasmin 40 mg Tablets
The active ingredient is drotaverine hydrochloride.
Each tablet contains 40 mg of drotaverine hydrochloride.
Other ingredients:
Lactose monohydrate, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate (type A), povidone K25, talc, magnesium stearate.
Antispasmin is used to relieve various types of spasm-related pain, including:
Biliary, renal, bladder, and uterine spasms
Menstrual cramps
As an antispasmodic in various gastrointestinal disorders such as:
Gastritis
Enteritis
Spasms of the cardia and pylorus
Irritable bowel syndrome
Spastic colitis accompanied by constipation and bloating
Headache accompanied by a sensation of intracranial tension
Adults and adolescents:The recommended dose is 120–240 mg of drotaverine hydrochloride per day (3–6 tablets), divided into 2–3 doses.
Children over 6 years of age:
The recommended dose is 80–200 mg per day (2–5 tablets), divided into 2–5 doses.
If symptoms do not improve within 3 days of starting treatment, consult a physician.
Children under 6 years of age:
Due to lack of safety and efficacy data, Antispasmin is not recommended in this age group.
