Excipients: Sodium hydroxide, benzyl alcohol, sorbitan monostearate, cetyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, isopropyl myristate, and purified water.
Alicid is an effective antifungal agent used to kill or inhibit the growth of fungi responsible for various skin infections.
It is used to treat fungal infections such as:
Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis),
Jock itch (Tinea cruris),
Ringworm (Tinea corporis),
Cutaneous candidiasis (rash),
Tinea versicolor (Pityriasis versicolor).
Apply Alicid cream to the affected skin areas as described below:
Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis): Once daily for 1 week.
Jock itch and ringworm: Once daily for 1 week.
Cutaneous candidiasis: Once or twice daily for 1 week.
Tinea versicolor (Pityriasis versicolor): Once or twice daily for 2 weeks.
Continue treatment for the recommended period, even if symptoms improve within a few days. Irregular use or early discontinuation may result in recurrence.
Your skin may start to improve within a few days of starting treatment, but full healing can take longer even after the infection is cleared. The effect of Alicid continues after the treatment ends as the skin continues to heal.
If there is no improvement after 2 weeks of treatment, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Apply the cream as follows:
Clean and dry the affected area and surrounding skin. Wash your hands.
Apply a small amount of cream to your fingertip.
Close the tube tightly.
Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area and surrounding skin.
Gently rub it in.
Wash your hands afterward to avoid spreading the infection.
If the infection is in areas such as between fingers or toes, under the breasts, in the groin, or buttocks, you may cover the area with gauze after applying the cream. This is especially recommended at bedtime. Use a clean, fresh dressing each time.
To support treatment success:
Keep the affected area clean and dry.
Pat dry gently without rubbing.
Avoid scratching the area, even if it itches, to prevent further irritation or spreading the infection.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store below 25°C in the original packaging.
Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.
