Alerthek 10 mg Tablets

Composition:

Each film-coated tablet ofAlerthekcontains 10 mg of the active ingredient Cetirizine dihydrochloride.
Excipients: Lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.

Indications:

• Seasonal and chronic allergic rhinitis

• Allergic conjunctivitis

• Pruritic dermatoses

• Urticaria (including chronic idiopathic urticaria)

• Angioedema

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to cetirizine

• Pregnancy and lactation

Effects on Driving and Operating Machinery:

Cetirizine does not significantly affect mental or motor functions. It may be taken while driving or operating machinery; however, caution is advised when using higher doses.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Use is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding should be discontinued during treatment.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily, in the morning.

• Children 6–12 years: 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily, or ½ tablet (5 mg) twice daily (morning and evening).

• Children 2–6 years: ½ tablet (5 mg) once daily, or ¼ tablet (2.5 mg) twice daily (morning and evening).

• Patients with renal impairment: The dose should be halved.

• Elderly patients with normal kidney function: No dose adjustment needed.

Side Effects:

• Gastrointestinal: Dry mouth, rarely digestive disturbances

• CNS: Mild and transient drowsiness, headache, dizziness, rarely agitation

• Allergic reactions: Rarely rash or angioedema

Side effects are rare and typically transient.

Shelf Life and Storage Conditions:

• Shelf life: 4 years

• Store at 10–25°C, in a place out of reach of children.
