The medication for a dry cough helps soothe the irritated throat, reduce the frequency of coughing, and ease breathing.
Covonia Dry & Tickly Cough Mixture contains glycerol, which lines the throat and soothes the symptoms of cough and sore throat.
The bottle must be shaken before use.
Adults and children over 12 years:2 X 5ml teaspoonfuls when required.
Children over 1 year:1 X 5ml teaspoonful when required.
Do not use in children under 1 year of age without consulting a doctor.
Do not take this medicine if you have:
An allergy to any of the ingredients.
Consult your doctor if you have a history of diabetes.
This product is not to be used in diabetic patients. For recommendations on alternative treatment, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.
If the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding, they should consult their doctor or pharmacist for a recommendation.
Each 5ml dose contains 1.7g sucrose and 0.3g liquid glucose. This must be considered in diabetic patients.
If the patient has an intolerance to some sugars, a doctor's consultation is required before taking the medicine.
The medicine contains a small amount of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100mg per 10ml dose.
No side effects have been reported when taking the recommended dose. If any side effects occur, the medicine should be discontinued, and the doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
In case of accidental overdose, a doctor must be consulted immediately. The patient should carry the packaging to show.
Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. The shelf life refers to the last day of the month.
